About Us

The Marion County Roadbuilders Association was formed in 1972 in order to promote the best interest of its members and the transportation construction industry by providing a unified voice and to maintain an ongoing liaison with various state, county, and local governmental agencies whose actions affect the business operations of its members. The association advocates and encourages the spirit of cooperation and goodwill between its members and the public.

MCRA will promote the development of a healthy transportation system to include roads, streets, airports, utilities, and all other road building industry throughout Marion County.

MCRA will promote good corporate citizenship of its members, teaming together to lend a helping hand to our community through charitable ventures and fundraising efforts.

In 2005, MCRA formed the Marion County Roadbuilders FOUNDATION, a 501c3 charitable organization, formed to receive and administer funds for educational, and charitable purposes. The Foundation grants college scholarships to qualified applicants, and has awarded over $65,000 to local students to date! Preference is given to applicants seeking a degree in engineering or other industry related fields.

The Foundation also participates in many local fundraising events throughout the year, benefiting worthwhile organizations such as Children’s Home Society, Interfaith Emergency Services, Marion ARC, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Marion Therapeutic Riders.
